Limited Warranty Agreement
All new Orange computers carry a one year limited warranty. The following describes the limited warranty and return policy for the U.S.
What is covered by this limited warranty?
This limited warranty covers defects in hardware, and workmanship in your Orange Computer. Hardware is defined as, but may not be limited to the computer itself which includes all components, (CPU, ram, motherboard, disk drives, and housing etc.) the monitor, keyboard, mouse, printer, scanner and other peripherals if applicable.
What is not covered by this limited warranty?
- Software, including the operating system and software added to your Orange Computer, third party software, or the reloading of software. Lost or damaged CD’s, Floppy disks or memory cards are also not covered by this limited warranty.
- Products or accessories not installed by Orange Computers or authorized subsidiary.
- Problems that result from:
- External causes such as accident, abuse, misuse, or problems with electrical power
- Usage that is not in accordance with product instructions
- Failure to follow the product instructions or failure to perform preventive maintenance
- Problems that result by using accessories, parts, or components, not supplied or installed by Orange Computers
- Products with missing or altered serial numbers.
- This warranty is non-transferable and cannot be sold with the computer.
How do I obtain warranty service?
Simply call Orange Computers at 314-921-9700 to arrange for service. An original invoice must accompany all warranty service requests. Warranty service is performed at the offices of Orange Computers. This warranty does not include allowances for on-site service.
What will Orange Computers do?
Orange Computers will repair or replace at its option defective hardware, components, or accessories that attributed to your problem. If a repair is not possible we will replace the product with a comparable new or factory refurbished component. Some products may have an existing manufacturer’s warranty that supercedes this limited warranty agreement. An Orange Computers representative can assist you if contacting the original manufacturer becomes necessary.
NOTE: Before bringing a computer in for service, please remember to back up data on the hard drive. Remove any confidential, proprietary, or personal information. Remove media, such as floppy disks, CD’s or memory cards. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR CORRUPTED DATA; PERSONAL INFORMATION; OR DAMAGED OR LOST MEDIA.
How will you fix my product?
We use new and factory refurbished parts made by various manufactures in performing warranty repairs and in building replacement parts and systems. Replacement parts and systems are covered for the REMAINING period of the limited warranty for the product you purchased. Orange Computers assumes ownership of all defective parts replaced during the limited warranty period.
THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS. ORANGE COMPUTERS RESPONSIBILITY FOR MALFUNCTIONS AND DEFECTS IN HARDWARE IS LIMITED TO REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT AS SET FORTH IN THIS WARRANTY STATEMENT. ALL EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES FOR THE PRODUCT, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN TIME TO THE TERM OF THE LIMITED WARRANTY PERIOD, WHICH BEGINS FROM THE DATE OF YOUR ORIGINAL INVOICE. NO WARRANTIES EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WILL APPLY AFTER THE WARRANTY PERIOD HAS EXPIRED UNLESS OTHERWISE DENOTED BY AN ORANGE COMPUTER REPRESENTITIVE. WE DO NOT ACCEPT LIABLILITY BEYOND THE REMEDIES PROVIDED FOR IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY OR FOR THE CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY LIABILITY FOR THIRD-PARTY CLAIMS AGAINST YOU FOR DAMAGES, FOR PRODUCTS NOT BEING AVAILABLE FOR USE, OR FOR LOST DATA OR LOST SOFTWARE. OUR LIABILITY WILL BE NO MORE THAN THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCT THAT IS SUBJECT TO THE CLAIM. THIS IS THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT THAT ORANGE COMPUTERS OR ITS SUBSIDARIES CAN BE HELD LIABLE.
